| New office marks Central Belt push for Knight Real Estate |
|
Knight Real Estate, a Chess Property Group plc company, has opened a new office in Glasgow - at 46 Gordon Street - as it seeks to strengthen its Central Belt presence. The building, which was historically a department store, was bought in September 2007 by Knight Real Estate in a joint venture with LTL Property Investments. Knight has moved into its new offices on the third floor following refurbishment, with all of the remaining space in the building either now let or under offer. Niall Carlton, Development Director in the Central Belt, said: "The acquisition of 46 Gordon Street not only gives us a good asset management opportunity but also provides us with an ideal base from which to work. "The coming year already promises to be busy, with serveral opportunities under consideration and the first phase of a key development in East Kilbride getting under way in March" Langlands Point in East Kilbride represents Knight Real Estate's first development since the opening of the Glasgow office. The first phase of the project will comprise around 40,000sq of industrial/warehouse units. Knight Real Estate is based in Aberdeen but has a property portfolio across the UK. |
